ACTON is a disruptive, mixed-age microschool. We belong to the largest global network of schools with 13 years of experience and more than 300 member schools across 20 countries.
We offer a unique model that employs self-directed and challenge based learning. By integrating the philosophy of Maria Montessori and the Socratic Method, Acton Academy reinvigorates the learning process by helping children learn to learn, learn to be, and learn to do.

At Acton Academy Mty we refer to our learners as heroes in reference to the hero’s journey that illustrates the overcoming of obstacles.
This archetype describes the path of a protagonist who responds to a call to adventure, leaving behind their comfort zone, overcoming challenges, and returning home transformed.
As the cycle repeats, presenting new challenges to overcome, our heroes increase their opportunities not only to contribute to their environment in meaningful ways but also to express their life purpose.
This is human agency.

At Acton Academy Mty the learner is front and center. Not the teacher's agenda or specific academic content. By challenging learners to independently set and attain personal learning goals, they gain ownership of their work and can get acquainted with the realization of their true potential.

Our studios are designed with an understanding that ability is not determined by age only and that in an open environment, learners naturally learn from peers with different interests, skill sets, and ability levels.

A large component of learning occurs horizontally. Therefore, our studios have no doors allowing our learners to mingle, share, and explore their own potential for leadership.
